Preparing students for their future professions involves not only vocational subjects and practical training, but also the acquisition of professional foreign language skills.
Drawing on the experience gained during the Erasmus+ project “SmartVET: Industrial 4.0 & AI-Driven Manufacturing Education”, and under the guidance of vocational English teacher Ms Joanna Dalmer-Żółtowska, students of class 4TI prepared presentations entitled “Artificial Intelligence – the Future of Technology.”
In their presentations, students addressed issues related to AI-based applications and tools, areas of implementation, as well as the ethical aspects of artificial intelligence. They discussed whether AI could replace human workers, how it might support business operations, and whether it could potentially pose risks. One of the students also prepared a short quiz testing basic knowledge of artificial intelligence and the use of various digital tools in the teaching and learning process.
The discussion led to a shared conclusion that modern technologies are an indispensable element of contemporary vocational education; however, they must be used responsibly and with due awareness.
